Can I collect sponsors online?
The easiest way is online. Use the Just Giving website - the site is completely secure. It’s our fundraisers’ number one way to raise money.
Just visit the Just Giving website using the link below, follow the simple instructions to create your own fundraising page, and email the address to everyone. You can brighten up your page with the Treetops Hospice logo, photos, and keep a blog about yourself. All your friends, family and colleagues need to do is visit your page and make their pledge.
Can I collect sponsors using forms?
If you want to do things the traditional way rather than online, you can print off a sponsorship forms online at www.hospicerun.co.uk/downloads. Please feel free to print off as many as you need. Remember to send these to us after you’ve collected all the sponsorship money, so we can claim the Gift Aid.
What is Gift Aid?
Where people have ticked the Gift Aid box and completed their details in full, for every £1 they donate we can claim another extra 28p tax back – at no cost to them.
Who can I ask for sponsorship?
Get everyone you know involved, and explore every opportunity. Ask all your friends, family, work colleagues, and members of any social clubs you attend.
Always ask your employer if there is a ‘match giving’ scheme. Many companies will match the sponsorship you raise, or make a substantial donation to the charity you’re fundraising for.
When do I need to collect the sponsorship money?
It is advisable to start collecting your sponsorship money as soon as possible so that it is fresh in peoples minds. We ask that all the monies you have raised are sent in a month after the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running has taken place.
What do I do with CAF and GAYE vouchers?
There are two exceptions to the usual banking procedure. Some companies may want to sponsor you with a Charities Aid Foundation voucher or a Give as You Earn cheque, as they are tax-efficient ways of donating to charity. CAF vouchers and GAYE cheques cannot be banked with your paying-in book.

We will record the amount next to your name, and send you a receipt. On the back of each cheque, write your name and ‘Treetops Hospice Running Team’.
What do I do with my sponsorship forms?
Once you have banked all your funds or sent your money into us, please also remember to send in your completed sponsorship forms to Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal. This enables us to claim Gift Aid.
What happens next?
Please send in your sponsorship money, only once it has all been collected. Within one month after the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running.
